Hey, I'm Rocky.  Yes, that's my real name; and I was named after the movie.  My mom had a different name picked out, but then 'Rocky' was released and she really came to like that name.  I was born and raised in Florida, but moved to middle Tennessee shortly before I began high school.
After graduating from Smith County High School, I spent five years in the U.S. Marine Corps, including one tour in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.  After leaving the Marines I attended Tennessee Technological University, receiving my Bachelor's degree in accounting.  I have been an accountant for various companies over the last sixteen plus years.
In 2012 I purchased my first 'real' camera.  Having young children who would be doing soccer, cheer, and other things that kids do was motivation for me to pick up my first DSLR.  Since then, I have really enjoyed capturing special moments as my kids have grown.  I discovered that I have a passion for photography
As my oldest has been in high school, and my other two girls are doing cheer, I have had no shortage of opportunities to take photos.  I jumped at the opportunity to take pictures for the Pride of the Upper Cumberland marching band and the Smith County Playhouse, as well as various church events, and now doing sports photography for the Carthage Courier.
I am having so much fun as I continue to grow as a professional photographer.  Thank you to all of those who express gratitude for the images that I have provided for you. I look forward to helping each of you memorialize these special times in your life.
